P Series — Pipe / Profile Industrial Shredders

The P-series shredder is the world’s first single-shaft shredder capable of handling large diameter pipes up to 1200 mm without the need for pre-cutting. It is available in rotor diameters and widths from 800 mm up to 1500 mm, and the standard hopper accepts pipe lengths up to 6 meters. The combination of advanced controls, low rotor speed, and smooth hydraulics create a reliable and easy-to-use system.

Since its introduction, the P-series shredder has become the per se standard for pipe shredding and is used by leading pipe manufacturers worldwide. The more than 200 installations demonstrate our technological leadership in this industry and ongoing innovation is based on market demands and customer feedback.

The P-series shredder’s mainly shreds large diameter pipes or bundles of smaller pipes and profiles made of HDPE, PP, and PVC. The shredders also can be used for recycling other plastic materials like large lumps, stacked wheelie bins, and pallets. In combination with Virtus Equipment’s other size-reduction equipment such as granulators and pulverizers, we are able to provide a complete turn-key recycling solution.
